Welcome to Richmond!

Richmond is a fantastic town with an excellent school district, rural character, and tremendous opportunities for outdoor activities! The Richmond Democratic Town Committee would like to introduce our group and a little of what we do for the community.

We're building support for a local government that is responsive to Richmond residents. We endorse trustworthy community leaders who believe in cooperation to achieve collective goals that will move our town in a positive direction. We advocate sustainable growth that respects our natural resources and infrastructure while meeting the needs of our multigenerational community.

The Richmond Democratic Town Committee helps residents engage with municipal and state governments. We engage with our community by organizing events called Community Conversations and State Leaders Series. To keep informed on what we are working on follow us on Facebook or sign up for our email list. Links to both can be found on our website https://www.richmonddtc.com/ or scan the QR code above.

We recognize that it’s not easy to understand the ins and outs of Richmond. Do you know how to use the transfer station? Did you know you can file for a tax exemption if you’re older than 65, a military veteran, or disabled? Do you know where to find information about town events, activities, and meetings?

The Town of Richmond offers alerts about various important items including when to vote, public hearings, closures of roads and more. Sign up for these notifications via Notify Me! https://www.richmondri.com/list.aspx You can opt to receive only what you want to receive. Sign up for "News Flash" to receive general notices or another category of your interest. This is a helpful tool for those that want to get involved and stay engaged.

We welcome you to join us at our monthly meetings. We meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Richmond Community/Senior Center (2nd floor of the Richmond Police Station) at 6:30 pm. If you have any questions, our members are happy to help! Feel free to email us at rdtc@richmonddtc.com.
